Pascaline Krone serves as the Country Director for Fiji and Pacific Islands programs at the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES). Krone is a senior elections expert with over 20 years of international experience in elections, democracy, governance, and civic and voter education. She has extensive experience working with election management bodies, providing both advisory and operational support for elections. She also collaborates with civil society organizations on voter education, youth civic engagement, women’s equality, and the rights of persons with disabilities.

Most recently, she served as the Country Director for IFES’ Nepal programs, leading a team that supported inclusive elections and promoted effective women’s leadership through IFES’ flagship She Leads program. As the senior elections advisor and deputy country director in Southeast Asia from 2014-2020, she steered IFES’ electoral assistance program and collaborated with stakeholders to emphasize gender equality, disability access, and the inclusion of ethnic and religious minorities in democratic processes. Before joining IFES, Krone worked with various international organizations on election assistance, conflict mitigation, and inclusion, including the United Nations Office for Project Services, EuropeAid, Democracy Reporting International, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, and the British Council.

Krone is fluent in six languages and holds a master’s degree in communications from Humboldt University, Germany, as well as a master’s degree in international politics with a focus on election-related violence and conflict prevention from the Université de Paris XI – Faculté Jean Monnet.
